Dr. Jean-Marie Cartier, DACM, MATCM, L.Ac, owner of Earthroot Acupuncture, has been practicing acupuncture for 15 years. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Michigan and California, and is nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (NCBAHM). She received her Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Pacific College of Health and Science (San Diego) in 2020, graduating with highest honors. Dr. Jean also holds a four-year Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from Yo San University (Los Angeles), where she graduated with highest honors in 2013. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from Florida State University in 2002.

Dr. Jean treats a wide range of health concerns, including but not limited to emotional and physical pain, trauma, digestive issues, fertility, women’s health, anxiety, mood and stress-related conditions. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing is a collaborative process, honoring each person’s unique physiology, history and circumstances.

She is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where patients feel heard and empowered. Treatment begins with a conversation about your health goals—where you are, where you would like to go, and how you want to feel. Dr. Jean emphasizes balance, connection with nature, and heart-centered awareness as essential components of long-term well-being.
